Artist Statment

Formally, an installation is art that carves space into a sculpture,” my old professor used to tell me. Extending beyond the traditional orientation of the pedestal, the installation allows me to define space within the context of implied movement and time. In this format I become a storyteller ~or perhaps a poem? The narrative is generated when the audience moves through the installation space, abstracting meaning out of metaphorical packets of vessels.
